CBIL brokers the three bulk ores and intermediates behind aluminium and steel: metallurgical-grade bauxite contracted on available alumina and reactive silica, smelter-grade alumina contracted on Na₂O, loss on ignition and particle size, and manganese ore priced per dry metric tonne unit on Mn grade, Mn/Fe ratio and phosphorus. These are low-value, high-volume cargoes where freight is a large share of the delivered price — bauxite clears around USD 52/MT FOB Australia and manganese carbonate ore around USD 48/MT FOB Ghana by UN Comtrade 2025 export declarations — so every enquiry is worked on a dry-basis certificate from SGS or Bureau Veritas and with the Supramax, Panamax or Capesize voyage quoted alongside the cargo by our chartering desk, LaycanDesk. We connect mine, refinery and trader allocations in Australia, Guinea, Ghana, Gabon, Cote d'Ivoire, Malaysia, India, Brazil and South Africa with refineries, smelters and ferroalloy producers on FOB, CFR and CIF terms.
