Spice Blends & Sauces: Curry Powder, Bouillon, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Chili Sauce & Soy Sauce
Masala blends, bouillon, ketchup, mayonnaise, hot sauces and soy sauce by the carton, drum and container
Spice blends and sauces sit across three tariff headings: mixtures of spices under HS 0910.91, sauces and condiments under HS 2103, and soups, broths and bouillon under HS 2104.10. UN Comtrade 2024 export declarations put HS 2103 at USD 18.78 billion, with the USA at 12.4%, Italy 11.6%, the Netherlands 8.6%, China 7.8% and Germany 6.6%. At 6-digit level, soy sauce (2103.10) comes to USD 970 million, led by China and the Netherlands; tomato ketchup and other tomato sauces (2103.20) to USD 2.80 billion, led by Italy, the Netherlands and the USA; bouillon, soups and broths (2104.10) to USD 3.58 billion, led by the USA, Canada, Spain, Germany and Senegal; and mixtures of spices (0910.91) to USD 555 million, led by India, Germany and Pakistan.
The buyers are importer-distributors, wholesalers, food manufacturers, restaurant and foodservice chains and supermarket private-label desks. CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers six product groups: curry powder and masala blends, seasoning mixes and bouillon, tomato ketchup, mayonnaise and dressings, chili and hot sauces, and soy sauce and Asian sauces. Each lot moves against the competent-authority health certificate, the factory's certificate of analysis, a certificate of origin, a halal certificate from a body the destination accepts, and label artwork checked for the market before printing. Chilli-based blends and sauces are tested for Sudan dyes and aflatoxin, spice blends for Salmonella, and soy sauce for 3-MCPD under Regulation (EU) 2023/915. EU labels emphasise the 14 Annex II allergens under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, among them egg, mustard, celery, soy, gluten and sesame; Gulf labels follow GSO 9 in Arabic; US-bound acidified sauces need FDA process filing. Oyster sauce and other shellfish-based sauces are not brokered. Minimum orders are confirmed per product and pack. Cartons, bags, drums and bag-in-box ship in 20-ft or 40-ft dry containers on FOB, CFR and CIF terms. Send the product, pack, label market, quantity and discharge port, and the enquiry is screened and worked against it.
Excluded origins are not offered, including product re-exported, blended or re-processed through a third country. Every lot moves with a certificate of origin naming the producing plant, mine or grower country, and nothing is quoted before the seller and loading point are known.
