Frozen Fish (Finfish Only)

CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers frozen finfish - species with fins and scales - in three trades: whole round frozen sardine, mackerel and horse mackerel for the West African, Egyptian and Gulf pelagic importers; whole round skipjack and yellowfin tuna and pre-cooked loins for canneries and packers; and farmed tilapia and pangasius, whole and as IQF fillets, for Middle East and African retail and foodservice. The book is written for Gulf, South Asian, Egyptian and Southeast Asian importers who apply the finfish rule, so every lot is species-declared and certifiable as halal by the destination's accepted certifier; CBIL does not broker shrimp, prawn, crab, lobster, squid, octopus, cuttlefish or clams. UN Comtrade 2025 export declarations under HS 0303 put the USA at 546k MT, Morocco at 349k MT at USD 1,195/MT, India at 345k MT, Indonesia at 341k MT and Oman at 305k MT at USD 1,169/MT. Lots are graded on size, glaze, net weight and core temperature (-18°C or colder), with histamine certified on mackerel and tuna, and move in 40-ft high-cube reefer containers of about 25-27 MT on FOB, CFR and CIF terms, reefer freight quoted through the lines and forwarders.
