Anhydrous Ammonia
Refrigerated anhydrous ammonia cargoes & aqua ammonia
CBIL brokers anhydrous ammonia, the nitrogen feedstock behind urea, DAP, MAP and every ammonium salt, as refrigerated cargoes from Gulf, North African and Caribbean producers into fertilizer plants, industrial buyers and terminals in India, East Asia, Turkey, Morocco and Europe. The specification is short, 99.5% minimum ammonia, water at 0.5% maximum (0.2% for some industrial uses), oil at 5 ppm maximum and iron at 1 ppm, but the logistics are not: ammonia moves fully refrigerated at minus 33 °C in dedicated gas carriers, into refrigerated terminals with a jetty and pipeline rated for it, and a buyer without that infrastructure buys aqueous ammonia (19–25%) in ISO tanks instead, which we also arrange. Pricing follows the published Middle East and Tampa references with a freight and timing differential; cargo quality and quantity are certified by an independent inspector at load, and payment is against documents under a documentary letter of credit. We do not quote ammonia until the loading terminal and the seller's title are known to us. As with the rest of this desk's nitrogen and phosphate work, the Russian and other excluded origins are simply not offered.
