Copper Anode, Strip, Tube & Foil

Blister and anode copper, copper strip and sheet, ACR and plumbing tube, and battery and circuit-board foil

Copper leaves a smelter as blister or anode and leaves a rolling or tube mill as a semi-finished product, and each form has its own buyer and its own customs line. Blister and fire-refined anode copper (HS 7402) goes to electrolytic refineries and is bought on assay against the LME copper price. Strip and sheet over 0.15 mm (HS 7409.11 and 7409.19) goes to busbar, switchgear and transformer makers in C11000 electrolytic tough pitch and C10200 oxygen-free copper, to ASTM B152, EN 1652 and EN 13599. Seamless tube (HS 7411.10) goes to air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment makers, installers and plumbing wholesalers, to ASTM B280, ASTM B743, EN 12735 and EN 1057. Foil of 0.15 mm and under (HS 7410.11 and 7410.21) goes to lithium-ion cell makers as the anode current collector and to circuit-board and laminate makers as electrodeposited or rolled-annealed foil. UN Comtrade 2024 export declarations put HS 7402 at USD 15.32 billion, led by Zambia, Sweden and Chile; HS 7411.10 at USD 7.34 billion, led by China; HS 7409.11 at USD 4.04 billion, led by Germany; and HS 7410.11 at USD 3.95 billion, led by Taiwan.

CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers these products between smelters, mills and foil producers and the refineries, fabricators and manufacturers that use them. Semi-finished copper is priced as the copper, against the LME copper price, plus the mill's fabrication or processing charge, and anode as assayed copper less a refining charge. Every lot moves against the producer's certificate or inspection document and a certificate of origin; Zambian and Congolese metal adds a due-diligence file following the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, and strip and foil for electrical equipment add RoHS and REACH statements for EU buyers. Destination rules are checked per line: the DR Congo prohibits exports of copper concentrates under a June 2026 order, the USA has anti-dumping duty orders on seamless refined copper pipe and tube from China, Mexico and Viet Nam, and the US Section 232 tariff has applied since 6 April 2026 at 50% of full customs value to most goods in HS chapter 74. Copper cathode is on the refined metals page, and copper rod, remelt ingot, concentrate and scrap have their own pages. Send the product, grade, standard, size, tonnage and discharge port.

Excluded origins are not offered, including product re-exported, blended or re-processed through a third country. Every lot moves with a certificate of origin naming the producing plant, mine or grower country, and nothing is quoted before the seller and loading point are known.
