The one your road authority or pavement design names. Penetration 60/70 is the harder binder and the default for hot climates and heavy axle loads across the Middle East, South Asia and Africa; 80/100 is softer and suits cooler climates and surface dressing. India and its neighbours tender on viscosity grades (VG-10, VG-30, VG-40), and oxidised grades such as 85/25 and 115/15 go to roofing and waterproofing, not roads. The grades are not interchangeable on a compliance basis.

It follows what you can receive. Hot bulk by vessel or bitutainer is the lowest cost per tonne but needs heated storage at destination. New steel drums of 150 or 180 kg suit buyers without tanks and distributors breaking bulk; a 20 ft container takes 80 to 110 drums. Jumbo bags of 300 kg avoid drum disposal but need a melting plant.

No. CBIL is a brokerage and does not own cargo or hold inventory. We work refinery and trader allocations loading Sohar and Singapore and terminal stock at Fujairah, for a named buyer, port and delivery basis. Fujairah and Sohar are outside the Strait of Hormuz, which has been severely restricted since 28 February 2026; terminals inside the Gulf are not loading normally.

SGS or Intertek inspection at the filling or loading point covering penetration, softening point, flash point, solubility and the ageing test, with the producing refinery named on the certificate of origin and documentation matched to the destination road authority's specification.
