Polyolefins, PVC, PET and polystyrene are the resins behind woven sacks, film, pipe, profile, cable, bottles, cups, sheet and insulation, and converters buy them grade by grade against the datasheet they already run. CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers polyethylene (HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE; HS 3901), polypropylene (homopolymer, impact and random copolymer; HS 3902), suspension PVC (K57 to K71; HS 3904.10), bottle, fibre and film grade PET chips (HS 3907.61 and 3907.69) and GPPS, HIPS and EPS polystyrene (HS 3903) from the offtake traders of Middle East, Asian, European and US producers and from trader parcels of prime and near-prime material, against the producer's certificate of analysis, a food-contact declaration where the grade needs one, and SGS or Intertek inspection at stuffing. The 2025 export declarations put Saudi Arabia at 9.62 million MT of polyethylene at USD 992/MT and 5.04 million MT of polypropylene at USD 1,008, and the USA at 14.01 million MT of polyethylene at USD 1,178; 2024 declarations put China's HS 3907 exports, weighted to PET chip, at 10.94 million MT at USD 1,168/MT and Korea's HS 3903 styrene-polymer exports at 1.92 million MT at USD 1,697. Resin moves in 25 kg bags on pallets or jumbo bags, about 20–24.75 MT to a 40-ft container by resin; the chartering desk is not the point here, and container freight is quoted through forwarders into Mersin, Alexandria, Mombasa, Karachi, Chittagong and Haiphong.

Excluded origins are not offered, including product re-exported, blended or re-processed through a third country. Every lot moves with a certificate of origin naming the producing plant, mine or grower country, and nothing is quoted before the seller and loading point are known.

What resin types and grades does CBIL broker?
Polyolefins including HDPE (film, blow moulding, injection), LLDPE (butene C4 and metallocene mLLDPE), LDPE, and polypropylene (homopolymer raffia and injection, impact copolymer and random copolymer); suspension PVC (K57 to K71); bottle-grade PET chips (water IV 0.80, CSD IV 0.84-0.87); polystyrene (GPPS, HIPS, EPS); and engineering thermoplastics (ABS, polycarbonate, nylon 6 chips).
How is polymer resin shipped internationally?
Standard resin shipments move in 20ft and 40ft dry containers loaded with 25 kg multi-ply bags on heat-treated pallets with stretch hooding (approx. 24.75 to 25.0 MT per 40ft container), or in 1,000–1,250 kg big bags for automated silo discharge.
What testing and certification is provided with resin shipments?
Every prime lot is supplied with the manufacturer's Certificate of Analysis (COA) confirming density, Melt Flow Index (MFI/MFR), tensile strength, and flexural modulus. Grades intended for food and beverage packaging (PET, HDPE, PP) include food-contact regulatory compliance declarations under US FDA 21 CFR and EU Regulation (EU) No 10/2011.
