The buyer is an industrial bakery, a cake, pasta or noodle plant, a mayonnaise and sauce maker, an ice-cream plant or a foodservice and catering distributor, and the offer is a price per kg for a stated fraction, salt or sugar content, chilled or frozen state, pack and remaining shelf life. CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers liquid and frozen egg products from breaking plants in the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Denmark and the USA, against the origin veterinary authority's health certificate, the plant's certificate of analysis with the Salmonella result, a certificate of origin and a halal certificate from a body the destination accepts, with any added ingredient or processing aid specified from halal-certified sources. Egg products enter the USA only from countries FSIS lists as eligible - Canada, Lithuania and the Netherlands - and are re-inspected at the port of entry; Saudi Arabia takes them only from SFDA-approved establishments, with an import permit per shipment and product registration, and has exempted certified heat-treated products from its avian influenza suspensions. Industrial packs run from bag-in-box with a pouring spout and plastic pails to collapsible and stainless steel totes and road tankers. Chilled liquid egg is held at 0-4 °C, and US egg marketers describe a shelf life of 45-60 days when it is kept cold; frozen egg is held at -18 °C or colder. Lots move in reefer containers at the set point in the booking, on FCA, FOB, CFR and CIF terms, and minimum lots are confirmed per product and pack. Send the fraction, salt or sugar, chilled or frozen, pack, shelf life, quantity and discharge port and the enquiry is screened and worked against it.
Excluded origins are not offered, including product re-exported, blended or re-processed through a third country. Every lot moves with a certificate of origin naming the producing plant, mine or grower country, and nothing is quoted before the seller and loading point are known.

Liquid & Frozen Egg Products (Pasteurised Whole Egg, Egg Yolk & Egg White) — buyer questions
Which HS codes cover liquid and frozen egg?
Whole egg out of shell, liquid or frozen, is HS 0408.99; liquid or frozen yolk is HS 0408.19; and liquid or frozen egg white is egg albumin under HS 3502.19. The dried forms are HS 0408.91, 0408.11 and 3502.11. The destination's tariff line under the six digits is confirmed by the importer's broker.
What heat treatment does liquid egg receive?
Pasteurisation. The WOAH Terrestrial Code lists time and temperature combinations that inactivate avian influenza: 60 °C for 188 seconds for whole egg, 61.1 °C for 94 seconds for whole egg blends, 55.6 °C for 870 seconds or 56.7 °C for 232 seconds for liquid egg white, and 62.2 °C for 138 seconds for 10% salted yolk. In the EU the treated product is then cooled to 4 °C or below, or frozen at once.

Frozen egg is held at -18 °C or colder. Export lots move in reefer containers at the set point in the booking, the remaining shelf life on arrival is agreed in the contract, and minimum lots are confirmed per product and pack.
