CBIL brokers agricultural-grade granular urea at 46% nitrogen minimum, biuret ≤ 1.0% and moisture ≤ 0.5%, from Middle East and CIS producers. The variables that actually price and place a granular cargo are physical, not just chemical: granule size distribution (typically 90%+ between 2 and 4 mm), crushing strength (2.5–3.5 kgf on a 2.8 mm granule), dust content and the anti-caking coating. Those numbers decide whether the product survives multiple handlings, spreads evenly at width, and arrives free-flowing rather than as a set block in the bottom of the hold. We arrange SGS or Intertek certification of nitrogen, biuret, moisture and size distribution at load port, with size-guide-number and uniformity-index reporting where a blender needs it.

A buyer picks granular over prilled when the urea is going into a bulk blend or through a spinner spreader. Granules are harder, denser and closer in particle size to DAP, MOP and ammonium sulphate, so a blend holds together in transit instead of segregating into stripes across the field — and they throw a consistent 24–36 m pattern that prills cannot match. Granular also handles bulk-vessel discharge, stockpiling and repeated transfer far better, which is why long trade lanes and inland distribution default to it. If you are dissolving the urea in water, feeding a resin plant or a DEF line, the extra hardness is cost you do not need — prilled is the sibling grade for that.
