1–2.4 mm prills for dissolving, resins & DEF feedstock

CBIL arranges prilled urea at 46% nitrogen minimum from Middle East and CIS producers, in agricultural, low-biuret and technical grades. Prills are formed by dropping molten urea down a tower rather than granulating, which gives a smaller, rounder, softer particle — typically 1–2.4 mm with crushing strength around 0.5–1.0 kgf. That softness is a liability in a blend and an asset in a dissolving tank: prills go into solution faster and more completely, with less agitation and no oversize left behind. Biuret is the specification that separates the grades. Standard agricultural prills run ≤ 1.0%, while low-biuret material at ≤ 0.3% is what foliar spray, citrus and sensitive-crop programmes contract against, and technical grade at ≤ 0.9% with tight free-ammonia control feeds resin and DEF lines.

A buyer picks prilled over granular when the urea is going to be dissolved, reacted or applied straight rather than blended. Solution and fertigation users, UAN blenders, urea-formaldehyde and melamine resin plants, AdBlue / DEF producers, cattle-feed compounders and NOx-reduction users all take prills. The trade-off is handling: prills dust and degrade with repeated transfer and are more caking-prone in humid discharge, so they suit shorter chains, bagged movement and buyers who consume close to the port. Supply is structured in 50 kg PP bags, 1 MT jumbo bags and bulk vessel on FOB, CFR and CIF terms, against SGS or Intertek certification of nitrogen, biuret, moisture and prill size.
