Cream-filled wafer sheets, rolls and coated bars, in single packs, family packs and display boxes

Wafers are HS 1905.32, waffles and wafers, a separate subheading from sweet biscuits, and the trade line includes cream-filled wafer sheets cut into fingers, rolled wafer sticks and tubes, and wafer bars coated in a compound or chocolate coating. A wafer is a thin, crisp, low-moisture sheet, and the cream between the sheets is mostly sugar and fat, so the product breaks and softens more easily than a solid biscuit and asks more of its pack. UN Comtrade 2024 export declarations under HS 1905.32 total USD 6.89 billion and about 1.36 million MT across 111 reporters: Poland USD 1.17 billion and 165,300 MT, Italy USD 942 million, Germany USD 654 million, Canada USD 602 million, Türkiye USD 485 million and 140,800 MT, Belgium USD 429 million, Indonesia USD 383 million and 138,300 MT, the Netherlands USD 296 million, the UK USD 110 million, Malaysia USD 72 million, France USD 68 million, Spain USD 55 million, Mexico USD 38 million and Egypt USD 26 million. India's 2024 declarations are not in the Comtrade preview, and the UAE re-exports through Jebel Ali distributors.

The buyer is an importer-distributor, a wholesaler, a cash-and-carry or a private-label desk buying a stated wafer format, cream, coating, pack and label. CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers generic wafers from factories in Poland, Italy, Germany, Türkiye, Belgium, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Canada, the UK, Malaysia, France, Spain, Egypt, Pakistan, India and Mexico and from UAE re-exporters, against the competent-authority health certificate, the factory's certificate of analysis, a certificate of origin, a halal certificate where the market requires it, and label artwork checked before printing. Halal lines need plant-based fat in the cream and coating and a declared E471 source, because E471 can be made from vegetable oils or animal fats. Hazelnut and peanut creams, milk, wheat and soy are allergens: EU labels emphasise the 14 Annex II allergens under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, US labels declare the nine major allergens with sesame included since 1 January 2023, and Gulf labels follow GSO 9 in Arabic with production and expiry dates on the original label. The EU acrylamide benchmark for biscuits and wafers is 350 µg/kg under Regulation (EU) 2017/2158. An RSPO palm claim on pack needs the certified supply chain behind it. Minimum orders are the factory's and are confirmed per product and pack. Wafers crush under load, so carton strength, stacking height and palletisation are agreed before loading into 20-ft or 40-ft dry containers, with reefers quoted for coated bars on hot-season routes, on FOB, CFR and CIF terms. Send the format, cream, coating, pack, label market, carton count and discharge port, and the enquiry is screened and worked against it.

Excluded origins are not offered, including product re-exported, blended or re-processed through a third country. Every lot moves with a certificate of origin naming the producing plant, mine or grower country, and nothing is quoted before the seller and loading point are known.
