Extensible and standard sack kraft in reels for multiwall cement, fertilizer and flour bags

Sack kraft is the paper in a multiwall cement or fertilizer bag, and the customs definition places it between the light and heavy kraft grades: machine-finished paper in rolls, with at least 80% of the fibre from the chemical sulphate or soda process, weighing from 60 to 115 g/m² and meeting set tear, tensile and burst minimums. Unbleached sack kraft is HS 4804.21 and the bleached or other grade is HS 4804.29. A bag maker buys it on the properties that stop a filled sack splitting when dropped: tensile energy absorption (TEA, ISO 1924-3), the work per unit area the paper absorbs before rupture, and stretch at break, where extensible grades are made with added machine-direction stretch. For valve sacks filled with cement at speed, porosity matters too, measured as Gurley air resistance (ISO 5636-5, TAPPI T 460): a more porous paper lets air escape during filling. UN Comtrade 2024 export declarations under HS 4804.21 total USD 1.91 billion and about 2.03 million MT across the reporters in the pull: Sweden USD 387 million and 383,000 MT, Austria USD 194 million, Germany USD 176 million, Czechia USD 165 million, Canada USD 145 million, the USA USD 117 million, Spain USD 114 million and Brazil USD 75 million. Under HS 4804.29 the total is USD 601 million, led by Czechia, Sweden, Canada and Finland. Those are declared export values, not offers.

The buyer is a multiwall sack converter serving cement plants, fertilizer and chemical producers, flour and feed mills in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Latin America, and the offer is a price per metric tonne for a stated grade, grammage, reel width and diameter. CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers sack kraft from mills in Sweden, Austria, Czechia, Germany, Finland, the USA, Canada and Brazil, against the mill's certificate of quality per lot with grammage, moisture, TEA, stretch and porosity, packing lists with reel numbers, a certificate of origin and FSC or PEFC chain-of-custody certificates where the bag is sold as certified. Sack kraft is chapter 48 paper, in scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators. Reels ship in 40-ft containers on FOB, CFR and CIF terms. Send the grade, grammage, extensibility, porosity requirement, reel size and core, tonnage and discharge port and the enquiry is screened and worked against it.

Excluded origins are not offered, including product re-exported, blended or re-processed through a third country. Every lot moves with a certificate of origin naming the producing plant, mine or grower country, and nothing is quoted before the seller and loading point are known.
