UHT Milk in 1 L Aseptic Cartons (Full Cream, Semi-Skimmed & Skimmed)

Long-life milk in 1 L and 200 ml aseptic cartons from EU and New Zealand dairies, with the shelf life stated on the maker's specification, for importers in West Africa, the Middle East and Asia

UHT milk is milk heated to at least 135 °C for a few seconds, cooled and filled aseptically into a multi-layer carton whose aluminium foil layer keeps light and oxygen out; that is what lets it sit unopened at ambient temperature for months without refrigeration. The shelf life is the maker's number, stated on the specification and printed on the carton: one Dutch full-cream UHT milk in a 1 L carton at 3.3-3.5% milkfat is sold with a shelf life of up to 12 months unopened and is halal-certified, and European and Polish 3.5% whole UHT milks in 1 L brick cartons are offered with 12-month lives. Customs classifies milk with fat above 1% and up to 6% under HS 0401.20, which takes full cream at 3.5% and semi-skimmed at 1.5%; skimmed milk at 1% or less falls under 0401.10. The pack is the product: 1 L bricks in shrink-wrapped trays of 12 for retail, 200 ml portion packs for schools and kiosks, and screw caps where the market pays for them. For Saudi Arabia the exporter is registered with the SFDA as a foreign establishment, labels are in Arabic to GSO 9 with expiry dates to GSO 150, and the GCC Guide requires an original health certificate from the origin's competent authority with every consignment; the same certificate travels to West African and Asian ports with the certificate of origin and the halal certificate.

UN Comtrade 2024 export declarations under HS 0401.20 total 9.61 million MT worth USD 6.47 billion: Germany 1.62 million MT, Czechia 984,000 MT, Belgium 932,000 MT, Poland 760,000 MT, the Netherlands 656,000 MT, Austria 511,000 MT, France 448,000 MT, Latvia 418,000 MT, Hungary 389,000 MT, Slovenia 305,000 MT, Luxembourg 305,000 MT, Denmark 253,000 MT and New Zealand 231,000 MT. Most of the European volume is bulk and packaged milk crossing land borders at about USD 0.55-0.70 per kg; New Zealand's USD 1.12 per kg is the price of packaged long-life milk shipped in containers to Asia. The importers show the sea trade: China took 359,000 MT worth USD 376 million, the Philippines 119,000 MT, Hong Kong 90,000 MT and Singapore USD 117 million, and one industry review puts Nigeria's liquid-milk imports at 500-700 million litres a year. UHT cartons ship palletised in dry containers, with the carton count per 20-ft and 40-ft box set by the tray and pallet pattern, and are stored out of direct sun within the temperature range on the maker's specification. CBIL is a commodity brokerage company and brokers UHT milk from dairies in Germany, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Czechia, Austria and New Zealand on FOB, CFR and CIF terms, in the maker's brand or the buyer's private label, against the dairy's specification and certificate of analysis, the competent-authority health certificate, a certificate of origin and the halal certificate; minimum runs, including private-label runs, are confirmed per product and pack. The buyer is an importer-distributor supplying supermarkets and open markets in Dakar, Abidjan, Tema, Lagos, Douala and Luanda, a Red Sea or Omani importer discharging at Jeddah, Sohar or Salalah, or a South-East Asian distributor. Send the fat level, pack size, brand or private label, monthly volume and the destination port.

Excluded origins are not offered, including product re-exported, blended or re-processed through a third country. Every lot moves with a certificate of origin naming the producing plant, mine or grower country, and nothing is quoted before the seller and loading point are known.
